What is NLP?

 

You may have already heard about NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and possibly might have come across someone trained in it, but you probably haven't yet experienced it in the way it was intended and is used by it's creator Dr. Richard Bandler unless you have had the opportunity to see Richard or someone who really understands what it’s really about working with a client. Having been fortunate enough to train with Richard for over five years and seeing him work directly with many clients, using NLP at it's most effective and elegant level I can help you achieve the changes you want to.

NLP is used regularly to successfully help people overcome phobias, gain more confidence, stop smoking, get over past traumas, eradicate fears, change and remove limiting or negative beliefs, stop eating disorders, help people sleep better, enjoy public speaking, overcome anxiety & panic attacks, stress and many other problems. Why would anyone want to continue suffering needlessly when they can clearly see that there is an easier way to achieve a better life now.

NLP is an attitude along with the underpinning belief that people are not broken and that they are doing the best they can do with the skills and beliefs that they currently have. In order to be able achieve what will be a more useful and productive outcome an attuned NLP practitioner helps the client stop doing what is not useful or productive and instead create a new behaviour that is much more useful and desirable so that the client becomes the person they want to be. A skilled NLP practitioner does not impose their own beliefs on the client but enables the client to achieve the desired goals.

As Richard Bandler has often said "My work is about freedom, that means by giving you the ability to realize that in the situations where you used to feel controlled by circumstances or others in the past, you can now see what it is you need to do take control of your own destiny. And as the old limiting beliefs that had previously been held suddenly fade away into the distance, you start to see a new more useful belief growing stronger. Making the right choice becomes easy for you to see what will make your future bright so that your next step is into delight."

In the past people thought change had to be slow and painful but now we know more.
